San Diego Trip

We just returned from a fun-filled weekend in San Diego. We met our sister school, Collins (Phoenix), down there for historic home tours, sightseeing, and general fun.

Your ASID Student Chapter is planning the ID end of term trip and has decided to go to San Diego on July 10 - 11. At this time, they are still working on the details, however they have created a list of things to see/do. I would appreciate your feedback on whether or not you would like to go on the trip and what things you would like to do.

Here are some options:

- Gas Lamp District

- home tours in Coronado

- Balboa Park

- Salk Institute

- Old Town

We are trying to get rooms in a boutique hotel in the Gas Lamp District. We will likely rent a van again since it was so convenient. We don't know what it will cost yet, but I am guessing that it will likely cost around the same as the LA trip (around $120 per person).

Please let me know by the end of the week if you would be interested in attending this trip and if you have suggestions on things to see and do.

Mobile Voter Registration and Info Center Design Competition

Los Angeles / Disneyland Trip

What: Tour the Pacific Design Center, Schindler House, Room Service Store, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, and enjoy a day at Disneyland!


When: Friday and Saturday, April 30th - May 1st


We will depart early Friday morning and return late Saturday night.


Fee*:
$130 for ASID IADT Members
$140 for all others
$170 for faculty (private hotel room)
*includes transportation, gas, lodging, tour fee, and park admission

Mira Villa Model Home Tour

Next Wednesday, March 3rd at 11:30am, we will be taking a tour of the Mira Villa mid-rise condos in Summerlin. All interior design students and faculty are welcome to attend. We will leave the school at 10:45am. If you are in the Summerlin area, you are welcome to meet us there.

Our ASID Student Chapter will be hosting a social event this Saturday, February 27th at 6:00pm in Room 202. It will be an evening of socializing, food, and entertainment. This event is open to all Interior Design students. Admission is $5 per person to cover the cost of food.
